Ainge hasn't exactly nailed European scouting over the years. That said, Theis was one of the best FA signings of his tenure.

I think in the short term, Stevens is going to really miss him.

side note: if Theis had hit that shot against MIL on Monday, would he still be a Celtic? if only because the PR situation would have been untenable for Ainge.

No, but he Theis would've gone out on a high note! Danny would trade his Mom after she baked him a cake and ask her to leave the plates and forks!

Loved the guy.  Loved his attitude and he really busted his butt for the team.

Gonna miss him.  I'll wear his jersey with pride at Lolla is a few years.

He was a very pleasant surprise. I don’t think anybody, Theis included, thought he’d end up starting numerous seasons in the NBA when he first signed.

Good luck in Chicago! Theis backing up Vuce, sounds great

A good player gone. We don't have a lot of good players, so I bet we're going to miss him a bit.
Good luck to Daniel in Chicago and let him have his overpaid contract.

I usually don't pay much attention once a guy is gone.  But Theis is one of those guys that you have to admire -- comes over and just seemed to work hard at his game, stayed positive, improved all the way through his time here.   Really like the guy as a player and hope he does well the rest of his NBA career.
Wish there were fans to be able to give him a suitable welcome next time he's in the Garden.  Hope they are able to next year.

Curious about what he thinks of Wagner.

I only keep tabs on very few past Celtics, but Theis is on that list. I hope he gets a major bag this offseason and ends up in a good situation.

Remember the night when Daniel Theis had a monster night 22 points, 10 rebounds, 5 asts, and 4 blocks and was a +50 during the dismantling of the Bulls at United Center 133-77.

That was super 2018.

Stop. Theis was a good soldier while he was here. He did everything that was asked of him and exceeded all expectations throughout. Let's not be brats. We're a better fanbase than that... Or we should be.

Chill Superfan Steve. I don’t have anything against him personally. But he was the weakness of this team for several years.
