I wouldn't have even thought he was, well, rated at all. He's that much of an unknown.

I still think he can be a solid helpful player, but I'm not sure if he'll develop into that here.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Here you go re Langford from Zach Lowe ESPN Insider:

6-6 wing | No. 14 pick in 2019 | 21.4 years old

Langford remains a mystery of sorts to NBA evaluators given his myriad injuries and lack of production over the course of his brief career. One of the top players in his 2018 high school class, Langford played through a torn ligament in his right thumb for the majority of his freshman season at Indiana. He has been sidelined for this entire NBA season after undergoing wrist surgery in September.

Given the laundry list of injuries (thumb, wrist, groin, knee, ankle), it's hard to fully gauge what type of NBA player Langford can become. He's also on a team in which its two best players (Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown) are wings, and who drafted two more (Aaron Nesmith and Payton Pritchard) in 2020.

Langford shot just 43% from 2 and 21% from 3 in 416 total NBA minutes last season, but teams were high on him throughout the pre-draft process. They could potentially offer the Celtics a veteran to contribute to Boston's playoff push. Langford doesn't turn 22 until October and still has quite a bit of talent at his disposal.

Langford's shaky shooting stroke has long been his kryptonite, but watching him knock down pull-up 3 after pull-up 3 against Jaren Jackson Jr. in high school makes you wonder how much of his shooting woes have been a product of thumb and wrist issues.

An effortless right-hand driver who was one of the best wing finishers in college basketball at Indiana, Langford glides with the ball in his hands and has the makings of a bench scorer who also has the tools to defend multiple positions when fully engaged. Situational factors aside, I always projected Langford as more of a long-term prospect, and a non-playoff team with development minutes to spare would be wise to see if they can tap into the talent that made him a prep star in Indiana at such a young age.

He’s 6’4”, not 6’6”. I’m excited to see what he’s able to do. If it Means one less G-leaguer on the court....Sign me up!

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Can you be underrated if you're never available to play?

Exactly! I had to laugh out loud when I read that!

He's 6;4.5" without shoes, which translates to 6'6" with shoes.

I'm frustrated that he continues to not be available even due to COVID.  He must have tested positive, otherwise he would not be out this long. Including for tonight's Bucks game.

Thrive with a change?  Are you kidding me?  What?  He needs different trainers and doctors?  I don't even know why they're saving the uniform for this guy.  Who the hell is he?  He's been on IR like what 2 or 3 years?  Is he really a real person or some figment of some people's imagination?  I know... this is a joke.  Romeo Langford does not exist.  He's the ultimate Catfisher.

Sigh. Impatient Celtics' fans jump the gun on giving up on a player. Broken record.

Should Philly have given up on Embiid when he played ~30 games in 3 years?

People pine for this trade and that trade, when the guys we need may already be here. Certainly wouldn't be a shock if Romeo, or some other bench player, turned out to be better than perennial jag Aaron Gordon.

I think it's incredibly generous of anyone to call Langford underrated OR a mystery.

If anyone feels that way... They should be the person Danny Ainge calls up to offer the trade to.

The Jury is in on Langford: he's soft, injury prone, and doesn't have a jumpshot.  Trade him for whatever value you can get before anyone else realizes this is who he really is.

He could thrive with a trade but he could also thrive if he ever was healthy enough to see the court. Ever.

Ya never know , he is young , talented, confident , plays like he belongs , doesn’t have major acl. Type injuries ,  just a bunch of stuff like smart had for years and bad luck.  Smart could not stay healthy to save his life at first , always something.
He is not James Young .
He could flop or turn into a decent rotation player for years .  Just have wait it out  ;D

Didn't Steph Curry (no I'm not comparing RL to SC) also have some early career injuries, ankles I believe.
