Exhibit 8652467953 of C fans over-valuing their players. Don’t trade who?
One of 100 times they are right and I am wrong for questioning Timelord before the season.
Again people overvaluing Celtics players based on only the fact that Danny drafted them and 400 min of nba playtime... those people will be right every now and then and that gets to Danny’s head who also overvalues his draft picks (and future picks)

Agree with those who say don't trade Romeo.

He will be great at some point.

"great?" Are you serious?  The only way that he may be a good role player is if he toughens up and can actually play at some point. NBA is no place for soft tissue.

Neither have you, does that mean you get a place on the team. Right now the only difference between you and Romeo to Cs success is one of you is hugging a roster spot and getting paid for it. Other than that you both contribute zero to the stat sheets.

My point is:

Smart apparently has much more trade value than Romeo. Romeo can replace Smart's value, and long term (starting next season) will exceed his value to the team.

So why would you insist on trading him rather than Smart?

You hope that happens. There's no definitive way to know that. He could just as likely come back and injure himself again.
romeo has had a series of injuries, none of which would seem to result in an sustained injury - such as a serious knee injury.

please provide us with your source for believing that because a player has a different range of injuries due to different causes, that he will contintue have such injuries.

according to your thesis, hayward should be injured this year as usual. is he?

I've worked in physical therapy and orthopedics for years as clinical liason and post surgical coordinator. Its odd, but the "repeat offender" phenomenon is a thing. Some players just aren't durable and you can count on them like clock work to pick up some type of injury every season. Is Romeo that type of player? I don't know. But if I was playing the odds of him getting injured again versus him replacing the value of Marcus Smart, I'm going with the former.

Hayward is playing through a fracture in his hand right now, by the way.

SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan

How many guys do people think are untradeable in terms of desiring on the roster?  I think Tatum.  Maybe Brown

We have a ton of guys who are untradeable because they lack value. :)

I would trade Romeo in 10 seconds to get the right player. Certainly before Nesmith (who actually plays). A first rounder and Romeo probably gets Gordon done.

How long before the Romeo apologists can admit that it's time to close the book on this guy as a bad pick?  ;)

Romeo apologist who’s always had the position that he wants to see Romeo after a healthy summer and full training camp.  That stil hasn’t happened, so no reason to change my opinion.

Many fans were saying the same thing about Timelord and Terry Rozier after their first two seasons.

While I don't think Danny should hesitate even a little in including Romeo in a trade, if the Celtics hold onto him for another year to see if he blossoms, I'm not going to get all up in arms about it. Some players need until their 3rd or 4th year to make a big development jump.

His shooting sucks, but that's to be expected when he just missed the whole abbreviated offseason and most of the regular season with a right wrist injury. Also, no G League this year for real reps. He has been parked in the corner to do what he sucks at in the rare instances someone passes him the ball.

Romeo has no trade value.  Would be stupid to trade him, you're lucky to get a second round pick.

I think he needs another season to prove himself.  I still haven't seen the swagger he showed in HS and at IU; I am hopeful we will see it next season.
