With the Magic clearing Vucevic, does going caps pace next year make more sense for them instead of Harris?

Can they try to pick of a restricted FA perhaps?

Denver's now in the lead?

I think Ainge is going to get shut out. He doesn't have enough to trade.  His crappy drafting continues to rear its ugly head.

i think with the Fournier deal it all but kills the AG deal. Why would Orlando do 2 separate deals with the same team?

Not necessarily.

"Per a source: Boston and Orlando may delay the Evan Fournier trade just slightly to expand to a bigger deal. Teams are still exchanging ideas back and forth on more players." Per Keith Smith.

Because the Celtics and Orland agreed to compensation for one player and not the other, and both teams decided to lock this one in while they continue to negotiate?  The deals are easy to construct separately.

Fournier is a rental correct?  I thought Ainge said they weren't interested in a guy who will be a UFA this summer?

which means that Danny is trying to rake Orl over the coals for AG instead of offering a fair deal for AG. This is what happens every year at this time. Danny may end up killing both deals because he want to 'win' the trade.

That just seems like fabrication on your part. Do you not want your gm to negotiate the best deal? Let's just give them everything then lol.

He is a boost off the bench and cheap

Danny needed to do something

wonder if Vuc trade takes Gordon off table.

Although with Jonathan Isaac coming back next season, Gordon doesn't really fit there.

I don’t think he should go to the bench.

Theis
Tatum
Brown
Fournier
Kemba

That guy is averaging almost 20 points per game and it is shooting 39% from deep.

naw.  AG is a goner imo

I think the issue with trading him to the Celts was price and matching contracts .  Because two 1sts was not going to be enough

Nuggets have Harris, Hampton future 1st and 2nd  to send back

Blazers have Hood, Collins and a 1st  to send back

I wonder though if this is taking a while because Magic prefer Nesmith

The report states that other teams aren’t willing to give up multiple 1sts except for us, if we’re already the highest bidder, there would be no separate deal for Smart-Fournier.

In this trading environment, Smart is worth at least 2 1sts himself (what Portland traded to Houston for Covington) or straight up for Gordon. Fournier’s value as an expiring rental (in a non-salary dump going back to Orlando) is a highly protected 1st or 2 2nds.

The deal would fall through if the Magic insisted on Smart+2 1sts for Gordon, swap Smart for a pick swap and it might be a done deal.

We'll see if the other shoe drops.

Could go three different ways with the lineup:

G: Kemba
G: Fournier
F: Jaylen
F: Tatum
C: Theis

or

G: Kemba
G: Smart
F: Jaylen
F: Tatum
C: Theis

or

G: Smart
G: Fournier
F: Jaylen
F: Tatum
C: Theis

To be honest, I am partial to the last one. I am worried about Fournier will get lost in the mix (get less opportunities than he warrants) playing alongside three high usage players in Kemba, Jaylen and Tatum. Taking Kemba out of the equation and leaving Smart in will give more touches to Fournier, Jaylen and Tatum. Make Kemba a super-sub scorer.

I’m with you. I view Kemba and Smart as an either/or. I’m leaning towards Smart for his defense but only if he can accept shooting less than 8 times a game.
