How to Fix the Celtics (and the NBA)

The other day someone wrote that he’d rather see a donut coach the Cs than Mark Jackson. I agree. It wouldn’t even have to be a very good donut. Like, one of those no-filling, no-glaze old-fashioned donuts would be okay.

I guess if Jackson coached we wouldn’t have to listen to him broadcast the games, but it’s too high a price to pay. Can’t they take him somewhere else?

Part of me wants the Celts to end up with a coach like Mark Jackson just so all of the fans currently clamoring to get rid of Stevens because he's too calm and nerdy will have a monkey's paw moment.

My only small quibble with the suggested course of action is that you have not addressed the Waters and Edwards situation...

Considering their draft position, I like most Celtics fans assumed they’d be shoe-in 1st ballot HOFers by now. Can we trade them too and have them be someone else’s disappointment already...? Also, we don’t want them to take away shots from Tacko. He should put up 40-50 FGAs a night so he can develop more quickly.

Other than that I give this an A+ and would like to thank you for writing up one of the few trade proposals here lately worth reading. Well done!

Pull a Spurs and tank the season. Get everyone healthy, and play the young guys. Next off season you are in better position to shape the roster via trades and a higher 8 to 12 lotto pick.

If they could just frequently rotate G-league guys from different teams in and out of the roster at random that would be ideal. That way you‘d always have that ‚let’s see what the new guy can do‘ sensation going each game...
