Thompson for Satoransky would be awesome. He’s such a solid player.

Not sure who else there is in a TT deal. Feel like Theis probably has higher value
How about Bjelica? Shams reported that we are interested in him. He fits Danny's criteria for ''shooting with size''.

I'm not a fan of Thompson's game. His only useful offensive skill is offensive rebounding which might be a double-edged sword sometimes cause it jeopardizes our transition defense. Obviously, Bjelica ain't as good a defender as Thompson, but he spaces the floor, plus he's a nice passer at the PF position.

Give Grant's minutes to Bjelica. Give Thompson's minutes to Theis/Timelord/Grant.

Can the Celtics get a lotto protected 1st out of such a trade which they could then combine with their own pick and the TPE for a player like.... do I really need to name the obvious players again.

This is my question too. What's Tristan's value? Can a pick be gotten for him or Theis? Moving one of them and putting together a package for a 4/5 like Aaron Gordon or John Collins would be great. Not sure how feasible it is.

Why would Toronto want Thompson?

Rather have Thompson than Baynes
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Cause they lost Ibaka and Gasol during the offseason. Boucher is having a terrific season, but Baynes is a shell of his former self. They need a Gasol replacement. Fwiw, Siakam has played 17% of his minutes at C this season. The respective number from last season was just 2%.

I'd be down for Bjelly. Good shooter and passer, is 6'10" and can play solid positional defence.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

I imagine this would be the idea. I can't see SAC having any interest in Thompson, but if we could get a lottery protected 1st from Toronto - even if we needed to include a 2nd with TT - and then send that to SAC for Barnes, that would be pretty great.

We'd primarily do it for the pick. That said, I guess Baynes would be a solid 3rd string Center behind Theis and Time Lord. CBS is on record as saying we'll limit the Center rotation to 2 guys.

Jared Weiss: ''Brad Stevens said he talked to Daniel Theis at halftime, who barely played tonight after starting. Stevens says they are going to have to limit the center rotation to just two guys between Theis, TT and Time Lord as the season goes on and they look to play smaller''.

I doubt Thompson is worth a first — only team that might give one up for him is OKC (considering they have too many).

This goes back to what I've said in other threads i.e. that Boston overpaid to land Thompson and now realizes what a mistake it was to sign him for the full MLE (even on short years).  There is a reason no other team came close to Boston's offer for him.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Confirmation bias.

So according to some, our rotation of 3 solid, affordable bigs is a problem now? Lolol. What a difference an off-season makes.

Should've just traded Hayward to Indy for Myles Turner and Doug McDermott so we wouldn't be in this Tristan Thompson/big-man struggle mess.
