Looks like the shine's starting to come off this Patriots team. Buffalo's about to seal this game, which will drop NE farther in the standings. Two weeks in a row that Jones has looked like a rookie.
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

Same game plan as last week, same result. Run, run, run and rely on the defense to win you games isn’t going to cut it against good teams. When you play that conservative, you are playing not to lose, instead of playing to win.

I'll tip my cap. That was a phenomenal game by Josh Allen and when you consider the circumstances, where they played and the ramifications going into the game, this was probably one of his best overall games of his career if not the best. Nearly 400 yards for Allen with both his arm and legs. Made all the right decisions, no bad turnovers and was clutch when they needed him.

McKenzie was also great and they just couldn't stop him, though I have no idea why the Pats didn't decide to double him and kept allowing Bryant to get torched by him.

Also, BUF as a team just responded very well. That was a statement game for them. Looked like they were demoralized after that MNF loss to NE 3 weeks ago but have rebounded well.

On another note, people will talk about Mac and the offense, and yes he's regressed a bit. But when down 20-7 and then 26-14, they did respond with TD drives. But this defense is NOT clutch at all. Seriously, when have they ever made a stop when they've needed it the most in a close game? Usually if they are up 1 score, or tied or down 1-score and are trying to get the ball back, they can't get it done. Sadly, I had a feeling once JC Jackson dropped that INT, the Pats were going to lose.

Even in the past when the Pats had "meh" defenses, they still seemed to have a knack for making clutch plays or stops late. This defense is the opposite ugh.

As a chairman of the Josh Mcdaniels hater club i gotta say i liked his game plan. Mac was off on more than half his throws, the refs were straight up trash, the defense couldnt stop a nose bleed, and we still put up 21 points. Harris is clearly the better runningback as well for those who said stevenson was better
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

This loss definitely wasn't on the offense. If anything, I didn't even feel like the offense was out there for that long, because the defense was so bad and the Bills just kept driving and converting every 3rd down lol and eating up clock. Pretty sure the time of possession stat shows this too.

I didn't see the game as I was watching the Bengals/Ravens, but doesn't time possession show this because the Patriots 1st half possessions were

3 and out - 1.5 minutes
13 plays TD - 7 minutes
3 plays, 14 yards INT - 1 minute
3 and out - 1.5 minutes
5 plays, 7 yards - 45 seconds

So like 12 minutes of offense in the 1st half.  They only had 3 possessions in the 2nd half but those were for 13 minutes ending in two TD's and then the INT at the end of the game.

After the 1st half INT the defense stepped up and stopped the Bills on downs as well.  Perhaps if the Patriots offense was better in the 1st half, the game turns out differently.

Yeah I don't disagree. This is now the 2nd straight game where the offense has struggled in the 1st half. That INT wasn't on Mac (and frankly, I'll gladly drive N'Keal Harry to the airport myself as I'm done with him), but I also feel the playcalling in general for some reason is very very conservative early in games which is frustrating. Idk if that's on Mac or McDaniels.

But as you said, in the 2nd half they had TD drives but the defense literally couldn't stop Buffalo.

The Pats also got very lucky the Bills basically dropped 2 passes in the endzone, otherwise they'd easily put up 40+ today. Just felt like even if the offense did very well it wouldn't have been enough. Allen was the far superior player today by a mile.

One more thing, right before the half idk why the hell the refs picked up that flag and then proceeded to flag the Patriots after that for some "taunting". Like they for sure had a FG but the refs completely botched that with their BS. I mean, Mac goes down around midfield, a penalty gives them 15 more yards putting them in FG range with about 1:20 left. Instead, they pick it up then penalize a Pats player for complaining and that's like a 30-yard swing.

Not saying it would have affected the outcome but instead of being down 17-7, it's probably at least 17-10 at halftime and maybe a different game late.

The Patriots are PLAYOFF BOUND!  8)

Also the final few minutes of that Bengals-Chiefs game was INSANE. Kudos to the Bengals for winning the AFC North.

Nice to see the Pat's clinch a playoff berth.

The refs blew a massive call in the KC-Cincy game at the end. On 3rd and goal with just under two minutes to go, the Bengals definitely had a false start, that the refs didn't call. Completely changed how the end of the game played out.

Yeah I also wonder if the Bengals were even trying to score before it became 3rd and goal. They really didn't want to give the ball back to KC with more than 1:30 even if they went ahead 38-31 lol.

But that was an exceptional drive by CIN. I mean, they were at like 3rd and very long and Burrow threw a great ball to Chase who had a nice grab and a MONSTER game himself. Cincy's no joke.

Jets had the lead with a minute to go and they got TB12’d, Lol. Goes right down the field and throws a 25 yard pass to a Nobody WR to win it.

Also, AB had a meltdown before halftime. Took off his jersey, pads and helmet on the sidelines. Then pulled off his shirt and threw it into the crowd before going into the locker room while the game was still going.

After the game Arians said he’s no longer a Buc. Classic AB. what a DB.

That was easily the most BIZARRE thing I've seen ever in the NFL. Even more than Vontae Davis retiring at halftime and leaving the stadium lol. Also, it's odd that this happened just the day after 2 Houston Rocket players (Wood, KPJ) basically quit at halftime and one of them left the arena too during the 2nd half. Like what's going on...  :o
