If that’s it, and if “multiple” means two, it’s easy to see why Detroit might not be excited.

The TPE would need to be used if that was the offer. Sending Grant and Nesmith would keep the Celtics under the luxury tax.

Why would Detroit want to trade the only bright spot on their roster For a couple of mid to late first round picks. Grant is still young, turned 27 the other day. Doesn’t make any sense.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Because when your only bright spot is Jerami Grant, you don't have a legitimate team and should try to trade him for multiple future assets.

I don't know this guy, but it looks like has had kind of "meh" numbers until this year. Is he that good?

Good question. He's the best player on the worst team in the east. He either showed great growth and completes our team or would revert to the mean on a title contender. At this price it's worth taking a shot.

I just want something to happen and not another year of "rumor this rumor that" involving the Celtics during trade deadline season and then nothing ends up happening.

Get Grant or get Barnes! Get something reliable!
