Reasons for him to play:

- it's his first ever All Star game and it's an honor to play alongside some of the game's greats
- it's in his home town

Reasons for him not to play:

- his knee is already dodgy. What if he aggravates it and misses time? Remember Kemba last year?
- it's a meaningless exhibition game. The honor is in his being selected, not in his playing
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

If it were me, I'd rather play the ASG and sit out a Celtics game rather than vice versa.

There is only 1 ASG per year. 82 Celtics game. I know which one would mean more to me.

Sure.  At limited minutes.

He's earned it & its in his hometown.  It's a special moment.

Make it be his call, though.

Remember what happened to Kemba.  Let him play, but limit it to 10-15 minutes.

I doubt the All-Star game will be as intense as last year and he won't be starting anyway (see: Kemba last year), so he should definitely play. It's not like he is bed-ridden; he can just treat it like shoot-around or a light scrimmage. We all have high hopes for him moving forward, but there is always the chance that he never makes another All-Star game. He needs to play.

Exactly. He's put in a ton of work to get to this point as a player, and there's no guarantee he gets another selection (not because of his play but because the career of an athlete can end at any moment). Let him enjoy this experience.

Disagree

It should be intense

Same ASG format as the 2020 game

Jaylen and Jason in the three point contest!

Devin Booker (Suns), Jaylen Brown (Celtics), Stephen Curry (Warriors), Zach LaVine (Bulls), Donovan Mitchell (Jazz), Jayson Tatum (Celtics)

Last year's ending was ridiculous. I just don't expect it to be like that every time. Besides - as I mentioned - JB is not starting, so there is very little chance he will be in there during crunch time anyway.
