Jaylen has been experiencing knee soreness since the start of the west coast trip.  He is sitting out tonight.

Why on earth is he playing in back to back games at all?  I know the team is under a lot of heat of late to get wins, but short sighted to be playing him. He hasn't looked right to me since the knee soreness was first mentioned. I bet it correlates with a decline in his efficiency.  Clearly doesn't have the same lift. How often do you see him dunk of late?

I don't care where we finish in the standings.  We can't afford to have him get seriously hurt. Needs to be 100% for the playoffs.

If Beal sits then there is a trade looming.

Hopefully he can get it right during the allstar break.  Unless we have a 2 day allstar break this year ;)  I haven't looked.

I don't think its anything serious. Just some tendinitis from an intense schedule with little practice time, and the Celtics being a bit cautious.

Jimmy Butler is missing tonight's game with the same thing.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I'm starting to think we should have a rotation where we sit one of our big three a quarter of the time. Like, each guy takes one game off, and then they all play the 4th game (maybe in a bigger game). I know that sounds weak, but we are basically already doing this with Kemba. I really wouldn't mind Jaylen/Jayson getting a breather every now and then.

Sort of wish JB doesn’t play in the All star game. He really could use the rest. Between looking tired and the knee, he could use a breather.

After what happened to Kemba last year in the ASG? His knee got messed up because of that, and basically derailed the rest of the season for us. I just wish none of the Celtics players participate in a meaningless event game. We need to stay healthy for the playoffs and win championships, not All-Star Games lol.
