Thoughts for the C’s?

Would these guys move the needle? I haven’t watched a lick of Spurs basketball this season but have heard Derozan has been playing at an all star level - a lot of people think he got snubbed from the all star team.

Does Aldridge have anything left? Has to be, at the very least, an upgrade over Thompson right?

Do we have anything the Spurs would even want?

I’d take DeRozan for sure.  We’d have to send out some substantial salary to stay under the tax though.

6 years too late on Aldridge. Would have loved him and Horford together all those years ago.

I wonder what it would take to get Murray or White? They seeem like a good fit next to the Jays.

SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark

I like Derozan but I'd probably rather go for a player who is more different from the Jays.  They say Aldridge can't play defense anymore.

So Aldridge would fit right in our system then?

He'd be good on offense!

Couldn't something be made to work by Trading Thompson to free up cap space and then taking on Aldridge via the Hayward TPE?

May not be the best use of the TPE (although I think we could be left with $9.8M by trading Thompson and a few million left after getting Aldridge) but to me, that is a nice upgrade at the PF/C position, even if for only this season.

Of the two, I would prefer Aldridge as he improves us where we need the improvement the most.  DeRozan would be a useful player as well, albeit an expensive 1 season rental.

Last time I looked, Derozan doesn't shoot the 3. That ends that.

Aldridge is getting long on the tooth, and has a big contract. The kind of player  they should have had all along.

I liked Beal for Brown, but that appears to be a fake rumor.

They are still looking for that dominant center. I don't know if Ainge and Stevens are on the same page on this.

Derozan seems like another guy who needs the ball to be effective so that doesn't really excite me.

Aldridge actually seems like the type of payer the C's could use but he's 35 which means we're talking about him being an impact player for... 1 year? Maybe 2? If Aldridge was someone cheap we were adding to be the last piece to push for a championship (like what Rasheed Wallace should've been in 2010 or what Ray Allen was for the Heat in 2013) then cool but I we need more.

I just like that it's 70.6 million for 70.6 million.  (then sign Boogie....we need someone with big emotions to stir things up)

Smart, Pritchard, Tre Jones
Vassell, Romeo, Nesmith
DeRozan, Gay,
Tatum, Aldridge, Theis, Gay, Ojeleye
Boogie, R. Will, Aldridge, Theis

Is there a source for this?

Aldridge is toast, but DeRozan's is solid enough if the price is reasonable.

I would still love to get Vassell to the Celtics. He's probably a big part of there rebuild.
