Trading for a guy that puts you over the top for a championship is worth an over pay and if you win the chip it's not an overpay. If the Nets have won it all in that KD, PP trade that trade would've been considered a steal for them. I'd trade a couple of young guys and some picks if the trade got us over the top.

Can we get him by trading for a big expiring contract with the TPE and trading that deal plus picks/prospects for Lowry? I don't see how we won't be a contender with him as long as we keep our core 4 + Theis and sign a bit of depth - that's 2 All-Star level guards, two really good wings who're on the fringe of All-NBA, a guard/wing hybrid who's a top 40-50 player, a very underrated starting calibre centre and some bench pieces who fill out the rest of the rotation.

For people who're sceptical of Lowry's fit next to Walker, he played full-time SG next to VanVleet last playoffs and did well (he also played quite a bit of SG in Toronto's title run whenever the Raptors went small).

Stating the obvious but would much rather see him go out west to LAC.

Lowry drives me crazy but would be a good fit where ever he went. I take him in a heart beat. Can you imagine hime and Smart in the same back court. Crazy!

Refs would be on high alert

1st to draw a new foul.  Double charge
