He is a big who can shoot. Fits Ainge’s public talk track...

He is often injured and would carry a steep price of course. Speculative, what package would it require to get him?

Smart + Thompson + Langford

thats not what they want

It will likely take Timelord + Theis + Nesmith  imo

which means pass

Available?  Says who?

His contract if 4 years starting at $29M per.  That is pretty rich.  I think it would have to include Kemba to get a deal done (otherwise, we would be paying major tax).  Both are injury risks.  Healthy and playing like he did for the Knicks, Porzingis would be a perfect PF to play with Brown and Tatum.

Maybe in the off season, not sure it makes sense for either team to do this type of deal mid season.

KP is one of the worst contracts in the league right now due to his injuries and performance.  I hope his career isn't derailed due to the injuries because he is such a unique, and great player, when healthy but I don't think he will ever be truly healthy.  I don't think he's worth the contract.

The reason he's available is because he's struggled since his return from injury. His defensive has been really bad this season and its because he isn't moving well at all.

I don't know if he can bounce back at some point, but he's a 7 footer with a history of lower body injuries. Dallas' training staff is one of the best in the business, if they're looking to get off of him, I'd take that as a red flag.

There is probably an ok chance a trade could occur between Blazers and Mavs imo

Mavs get McCollum + Zach Collins

Blazers get Porzingis

Blazers wouldn't entertain moving McCollum for Harden. No way they're moving him for a broken Porzingis.

Besides the obvious injury issues, I also feel like KP honestly has been a bit overrated in the past few years. Yes, he's a big man that can shoot. And he can definitely do so much more, but he comes across also as soft and someone who doesn't assert himself as much even given his size. Maybe some of that is due to injuries, but I feel like he's just going to become a good, but not elite player.

Don't mean that in a bad way btw, and KP can put up numbers. It's just I feel giving up premium assets for him would not be worth it.

Not ideal but if he is the only option using the TPE I'd happily take him.
He definitely makes this team better, but that isn't saying much.

He is probably the definition of a stretch 5 in a smaller ball lineup, and can play a little 4 in larger lineups.  He blocks shots, hits 3's at a reasonable rate rebounds and scores in bunches.  I'd love to move kemba for him with young players and/or picks.  Like it less if it is smart, tt, and others.
