Im having a hard time coming up with a comparison for Nesmith. Hes a fairly unique talent. Good size at 6'5" 213 pounds, with a 6'10" wingspan.

I think he moves around the court like a natural shooting guard. Very quick feet, good lateral movement. Hes fast and when hes in transition hes a very good run and jump athlete. Not very explosive without momentum.

On top of that a great shooter so they claim. With very good defensive upside.  I think the Middleton comp is lazy now. Kris is a natural 3, much better player. Very different imo.

So who does A.J.N. remind you of?  Give me some names off three and D Wings that can shoot and chase down guys for blocks. With very good quickness.  Klay Thompson? Bruce Bowen? Not a lot of names i can think of. Tps for good comps.

Nesmith reminds me of players like Robert Covington and Terrence Ross.

Find a spot on the 3-pt line that works for you and get there on most possessions. Occasionally go off for a big game every now and then. Average about 12 PPG in their twenties.

I say Avery Bradley but not because they will turn out to be similar players exactly.  Do you remember how nervous and uncomfortable Bradley looked his rookie season (really his first couple of seasons)?  I see a lot of the same in Nesmith.  But I also see tools and promise in Nesmith much like you could see in Avery Bradley.

The difference is that Bradley is a combo PG/SG and Nesmith is destined to be a combo SG/SF but I think their ultimate talent or production will be similar.  Tenacious defenders who bring enough offense to be a threat.  Avery's best years were in the 14-16 ppg with high 30's% 3PT shooting and a legitimate full time starter.  But he didn't fully "click" until his 4th season though so it took him a while to figure it out.

Right now, Nesmith has the deer in the headlights look to him.  He can run around the court and make defensive plays but then just goes and stands in the corner and watches everyone else play offense.  As soon as he gets the ball, you can see him tense up.  I remember Avery being the same way early on.  I hope Nesmith figures it out faster than Avery.

After watching Aaron get some minutes, I'm pleased with his hustle, rebounding, and defense.  I hope his offense will come around with more reps as he becomes more comfortable.  At 6'5" and the way he was flying around the court, it made me think of Havlicek.  I am not suggesting in any way that Aaron will ever be close to Hondo in overall skills, but his movement on court does remind a little of Hondo.

Tp for Covington. The best comp so far. Robert is taller and a great ahot blocker for his position, but def see similiar traits

Was Middleton a much better player as a rookie? When he was averaging six points and shooting 31% from three?

I think the time for player comparisons is three or four years into his career, when he has found himself.  A lot of guys have absolutely terrible rookie seasons.  Hell, it took J.J. Redick four seasons to average more than 6.0 ppg.

Reminds me a little of old friend Avery Bradley. Like a water bug, really quick around the court.
He is bigger and stronger though.
If I recall correctly, AB spent a lot of his rookie year in the D league, earned minutes by playing solid D.
Hope Nesmith follows a similar trajectory

He reminds me of this kid that came into the league slow but after adjusting to the speed of the game and due to his athleticism, hustle and shot really made a name for himself.

That kid? Aaron Nesmith.

I want Aaron Nesmith to mature into being the best Aaron Nesmith he can be. No need for putting expectations on Aaron that he might not live up to or that he might blow out right out of the water.
