4.7Pts, 4.6reb. His PER is 5.59. Awful

Yes this would be the trade exception taking on 18 million salary.

As long as Tilman Fertitta doesn’t want pointless ‘competitiveness’ Rockers GM should be trading their vets for assets to get into the lottery and younger. Robert Williams is a Texas kid who I think would be great for them long term and a 1st to replenish their draft stock.

Eric Gordon can be a poor man’s Bradley Beal for us to help with creating and scoring. Tucker would be a fantastic vet leadership and defensive presence, plus a mentor for Grant Williams.

It would be more like 1 first and 2 seconds. I don’t think you can judge Tucker and Gordon this season and the last because of the circumstances around Rockets. Gordon would only need to come off the bench for us as a complementary piece next to Smart.

I know they are 35 and 32 but I believe our team is actually one of the youngest in the league and it’s obvious that we need veteran leadership and players who have been deep in the playoffs.

I think too many folks here underestimate Sideshow Bob's trade value. Guys with his physical tools don't grow on trees.

I also don't think the Cs have any interest in trading him.

I agree with this, don't get the interest in Tucker.  I am not sure he is better than Grant Williams.  We want a PF who is tall and can shoot.  Tucker is 6'-5" (smaller than Grant Williams) and isn't really a good shooter.

And Eric Gordon, I like him OK, decent player, just don't see the need or the fit.

Replace the picks with one 2 rounder and it might be a reasonable trade. Gordon is overpaid and injury prone.
We also have to ask ourselves is it worth going into the luxury tax (and repeaters) for Gordon and PJ? If answer is no -> replace TL with TT. I suspect here is where houston would draw the line and reject the deal lol.

Agreed.  The trade improves us, but only for a short time, and doesn’t lift us into contention.

We need more passing and shooting. Satoransky fits the bill. He ain't a sharpshooter, but he has a shooting split of 50.9-40.9-90 this season while averaging 4.9 assists and only 1.6 t/o per game. He's a heady combo guard who excels in the half court. He's also 6'7'' which means he'd fit nicely in our switch-heavy defensive system.

I've already expanded on the Bamba trade in different threads. He'd be my #1 buy low candidate. I reckon we can pry him away from the Magic.

Now this is more like it! Bamba as a 3rd string guy for Langford would be great, and potentially a win-win. Long been a fan of Satoransky - efficient, solid playmaker, doesn't turn it over much. Would add a lot.

I do worry about the scoring off the bench, which is why I'd love to get someone like Ellington or Terrence Ross to fling shots off the bench, but that's a small issue.

I talk to some Rockets fans quite regularly online and they're waxing lyrical on Gordon's two way play this season, I don't think he's a defensive sieve.
