Large overpay = two first round picks plus Rob Williams plus Carsen for two old role players? One who is 35yo 5pts 5reb and the other an undersized SG who doesn't play defense and his body is breaking down. The cost is way too high.
I talk to some Rockets fans quite regularly online and they're waxing lyrical on Gordon's two way play this season, I don't think he's a defensive sieve.
He might not be a defensive sieve, but I also don't think he's a two way player. I think he gets away with a lot because he's physically strong, but I've seen nothing either watching him nor looking at any of his stats to indicate he's a positive on defence. He also very injury-prone. I think we could either get him for less, or get a better player for this package
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Boston Celtics: Eric Gordon, PJ Tucker

Houston Rockets: Robert Williams, Edwards, Teague, 23 1st lottery protected pick, 25 1st heavily protected pick

Thompson/Theis/Fall
Tucker/Williams/(buyout FA)
Tatum/Ojeleye/Nesmith
Brown/Gordon/Langford
Walker/Smart/Prichard/Waters

*cut Javonte Green

This trade helps this team win this season but I am afraid that short sited moves like this will ultimately cap the potential of the Tatum/Brown era of the Celtics.
Mavs
Wiz

The more I see how it’s a sellers market this trade deadline and how far from contention we are this year it might make sense to sell some of the role players we have that are worth something.

How about Theis plus Semi for salary fillers ( S. Johnson + McCaw) and 2023 first round pick from Toronto.

This pick though probably late can still be priceless when we are trading Kemba plus picks for a star nex year.

The Magic are thin at the wing positions. They could have a use for a wing prospect. At the same time, they are super deep at the Center position. Vucevic is an all-star caliber player and Birch is a terrific small ball Center.

Fwiw, I posted the same idea in a Magic forum. Plenty of Magic fans were interested in Romeo. Nearly all of them would love to see Bamba getting more minutes.

Personally speaking, I'm still relatively high on Romeo. I believe he's a promising 2-way wing. If it weren't for his wrist injury, I bet he would have started lots of games this season.
