Green’s intangibles and defense are still off the charts. If we had him paired with Smart, whenever we rest two of our best three players we could matchup Smart and Green against most teams’ best two players and stuff then until our best are recharged. It would provide amazing flexibility to this team with most every matchup.

That can be ours, at the cheap, cheap price of $99.6 million over the next 4 years.
Green is a great complimentary offensive player because he is such a good passer. He can play off the ball very well because of that. And he obviously has lost some defensively, but he is still an excellent to elite level defender. He is also only in his 9th year and is still just 30 (though will be 31 soon). Obviously he wouldn't get a 4 year, 100 million dollar contract if he was a free agent right now, but he probably get a 4 year, 80 million dollar one, because of his defensive value and offensive versatility. So he is overpaid, but I don't think he is terribly overpaid. He would however fill a huge void on both ends of the floor the C's as they need a 3rd playmaker and they need someone that can really guard opposing PF's (and many centers).
I don’t think he has any offense of value. I’ll have the advanced metric rate is offensive contributions as negative.
And, his defense has slipped to “above average”, but no longer elite.
I would take Paul Millsap or Serge Ibaka 10 times out of 10 over him, and those are MLE guys.
