Why wait? Start tanking now. Brown's trade value is never going to be higher so we should definitely move on from him. Tatum, too. The return the C's can get on trading those guys will be really high so let's dump them and then we'll be excellent position for the draft which is, of course, the point.

[/sarcasm]
Are you sure this thought hasn’t gone through draft day trader Danny’s head? Lol

Tanking isn’t the answer.  Shoulda tanked the year we brought in IT.  If brad stays Danny needs to get him better young talent because brad cannot coach all stars.  Otherwise get a coach that know how to coach in the nba and not someone still trying to figure it out.

If they tank they risk Jaylen and/or Tatum asking to be traded.

doubt it.  They are not at the stage of desperation to win a title

They just received a huge payday.  And next its about all star team/all nba etc.

This is considered their team. Which is better than being traded to a different team and becoming a sidepiece

When they signed, the future looked a lot brighter. You can't assemble good NBA teams quickly. Starting over means a 3+ year time window - were I them that would be too long. They also don't have a lot of good tradeable assets.

The better question is: if the next ten are like the last ten.... will Ainge finally make an aggressive trade to upgrade the high end talent on this roster?

This team isn't bad enough to effectively tank nor should they be thinking it.

Brad Stevens doesn't take these games seriously so there's no wonder the players aren't playing hard. Why are there different bench lineups every single game? Just pick a bench lineup and stick to it for better or worse. I'm tired of him benching guys for weeks on end, then playing them, then benching them again. Nobody can get into any kind of rhythm. Roster construction is problem number one, and problem number two is Stevens.

He has been pretty consistent. With Teague recently fallen out of favor for Pritchard

Stevens is a good coach common now.. It is not his fault that players like Thompson and Timelord refuse to work on their defensive rotations... or that kemba is limited defensively or that grant and and semi alternate decent games with multiple bad games lol

There is no alternative to the coach now- TINA ...

Nesmith played what 28 minutes against Washington after not playing a lick the past few weeks? What is actually going on here?

I think he's trying to figure out who he can rely upon. Especially hard with the young guys given there's no G-League.

I don't envy Stevens' position, but I also think some of the things he does are really dumb

If Stevens is so bad why does the great GM Ainge leave him on the job 8 years now?
