I find this leadership stuff kind of bogus. We have plenty of strong character guys with experience.  What we lack is depth in our roster and length in our players.   We need smoke and mirrors to defend longer teams.  And we can't rely on the 2Js for 40 plus minutes, they are going to get hurt.

Plenty??? Please name the leader of this team. Thanks.

Smart has been patchy this year, but, in the last 6 games without him 2-4 I think the Celtics would have had a better chance at winning the four they lost with Smart on the court.

Last night the Pistons played hard and Smart is the player that can balance that.

We are talking about a relatively fine line between their current record and being tied with the bucks for 2nd in the conference.

"All teams are dealing with a compressed schedule and injuries."

Ok, in the bubble, the Boston Celtics pretty much won as many games as any team in the NBA....didn't they? They had a stupid schedule and injuries and wah and wah and wah and they didn't miss getting to a 7th game in the ECF finals by that much.

Veterans? What?! In the last four seasons they are 35W and 28L in the playoffs....experience? Are 63 playoff games enough?

The last four regular seasons they are 205W 113L or .644 win %

I'm going to go with the guys with the .644 win percentage, that's enough experience for me.

It isn't obvious to you that this is Tatum & Brown's team?

Smart's more of the emotional leader but he's up there too.

This is what I mean by leadership.  One example.  Robert Williams. Unbelievable athleticism. Plays like the best center we have in short spurts. But he seems to loose focus on defense and sometimes doesn't seem interested.  Then when they show the bench he appears to be laughing and joking even when the team is getting crushed.  How many years are we going to continue with him?. He is out of a lot of games with injuries.  I think a veteran could light a fire under him. If it can't be done then he should be in a trade package.
