Harrison Barnes is on the radar of the Boston Celtics, according to Sam Amick of The Athletic.

The Celtics have a $28.5 million trade exception they created in the Gordon Hayward sign-and-trade with the Charlotte Hornets.

Barnes has a team-friendly deal that declines year-over-year ($22.2 million this season, $20.2 million next season and $18.3 million in 2022-23).

The Kings have given teams the impression they have no interest in trading Barnes before the deadline.

Does “on the radar of” mean the same thing as “targeting”?

Unfortunately, the last paragraph is the most important one.

Unless Danny is willing to trade unprotected picks way in the future he is not going to land difference makers. No one will trade a good role player for the likes of Timelord or Langford or the rest of the Celtics young misfits.
What a waste of assets the last 2 years have been.

Again the play in will make more team fighting for PO, less tanking ones. So mathematicely more buyers teams and less sellers. Curiois to see how it will change the value of trades, the price team has to pay cut players and the team who will profit of that (maybe it will favorise elite team). We can forget Barnes since one week already.

at some point Danny needs to stop "looking to the future" and hoarding his picks and realize that we are ready to win now.

This team cant take more young players who will sit at the end of the bench and need time to develop. we need guys who can contribute and win now. now, I am not saying send a 1st for 36 year old JJ Reddick. but if you have to send 1sts to get Harrison Barnes go for it. hes only 28 and is averaging 16ppg. he immediately upgrades your team and is young enough that he should be good for awhile.

the clock is on danny the next 5 years to show Tatum/Brown that this is the place to win.
