Coaching in Brooklyn and not in Phoenix.

Looking at what they’ve assembled in Phoenix and the attitude of the players in comparison to Brooklyn I think him and Mike D’Antoni could have done great things this season with the Suns. I even think him and Chris Paul would have gotten along great given both players attitudes towards how basketball should be played.

Can you imagine trying to deal with Irving this season and then bringing in Harden and trying to get him to play in any type of system or defensive responsibility.

I actually think Nash just built his family home in Los Angeles prior to being offered the Nets job.

1. Not ideal personalities with a legit chance at a title.

2. Better personalities (maybe? we don’t actually know the dudes) with zero chance at a title.

I think he’s happy with choice #1.

If Brooklyn and Phoenix are both healthy there is almost an 100% chance that Brooklyn advances further in the playoffs.  In fact, I don't think it is a given Phoenix even makes the playoffs.

So no, I don't think Nash regrets taking the job with the better players.
