Oh my goodness, Brown!
But hella D by Kemba to stop that Curry fastbreak before. Finally they're playing aggressive again on both sides and not just settling for jumpers.
He's had some sneakily solid defensive play all game.
I see him getting a lot of crap about his D, but to me he's lightyears ahead of both IT and Irving were. His diminutive size certainly still hurts him, but he definitely scraps and has decent positioning more often than not.
I think the criticism is over the top a bit, by many, simply because of his performance, when hurt, against Miami in the playoffs. He was hurt and not good.
But, when healthy, against PGs, Kemba's defense is very good. He sacrifices his body for lots of charges drawn, and he has active hands and gets a bunch of deflections.
His problems come, like 90% of PGs, when he gets switched onto larger players, but that's pretty much standard for every PG less than 6'3".
