2nd youngest is fultz, 3rd is doncic. And he's only 19.  Anyone who thinks he's a bust is fooling themselves

Looks more and more like should have been chosen #1

I had him at 1 in my mock
he's an all around great player with a high ceiling

I agree with you

Edwards has a manchild body. But he is not a very good passer.  Shooting is ok... right now I would trust LaMelo to take/make jump shot.  LaMelo is a more engaged defender also

Is that the same mock that didn’t have Pritchard taken in either round?

Nope. I had Celts taking him at 47

My 2nd and 3rd mock though

I would have taken him #1 regardless of what team. But I also would have taken Lonzo #1 and I really thought Lonzo was gonna be potentially as great or better than Jason Kidd.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Glad I dropped him from my fantasy team for what must have been Alec Burks. Quality GMing on my part for sure lol

The moment I realized I was wrong about my pre-draft evaluation of him was when he had the ball with Trae Young defending him, and he made a series of moves to get closer to the basket, and then bullied his way through Young to score a layup.

It's a little thing, but I didn't think he would have that comfort level using his body. I thought he'd be soft like his brother.

I've said all along that this rookie class what better than people were saying. There's some real top-end talent and there's also a lot of NBA players.

already miles better than his brother.

Which I guess isn’t hard to accomplish. Still can’t believe the lakers took Lonzo second.

I agree with you ! That’s why I was a proponent of Danny making all 4 draft picks and see if he got lucky finally. So far not bad but could have been better if he drafted and kept two more players. Maybe Bane would be lighting it up now for us

I haven't seen him play yet but his stats are far better than I expected. I keep expecting him to fall off but he isn't.

I wonder what that might say (if anything at all) about the present state of the NBA when looking at Ball's stats here relative to his stats in Australia -- have they made it too easy to score / be effective offensively now in the NBA?

He also has the Hornets playing incredibly unselfish basketball.  The number of times they made the extra pass to create a bucket was really impressive in that game.  They looked better from a team standpoint then the Celtics have looked in a while.
