This game will exacerbate the problems of the roster Danny created. There are 4 players kinda shorter than 61 and 3 of those will be logging heavy minutes today.
I would say we need no more than 2 of those on the roster ... Kemba and Pritchard ... edwards and waters dont really serve any purpose but will get their run tonight.
Smart or Nesmith at center when Tacko and Theis foul out 🤪..
I still expect Brad to pull a lot of tricks and have us in the game till the last few minutes

We have plenty of big men on the roster , as well as wings with good size. It's not Danny's fault at all that the majority of them got exposed to covid.

Looks like Heat might be having an outbreak too. AB will be out due to safety protocols as well.

So youre saying that having a lot of short guys on the roster is not a problem ?
All I was saying is that situations like this prove its an issue

I was watching an old Dallas Mavericks game yesterday (Nash's first game back in Dallas after leaving) and I was watching an old Shawn Bradley and he had me thinking a lot of Tacko. Watching the way they move. How they use their size defensively.

If Tacko was born in that generation, he may have had a career similar to Shawn Bradley. A starter most of his career. Regular among the shot-blocking leaders.

Agreed. There's no positive to playing it.

NBA should but won't.  They can't afford to go down while NFL and NHL flourish

Guarantee you if any of the Lakers stars came down with COVID and had to miss time, the NBA would have no problem postponing some of their games or even pausing part of the season  ::)

Hopefully Nesmith can get at least some garbage minutes now.  Easy win.  Go cs

The Celtics announce  all nine players on the injury report Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Javonte Green, Semi Ojeleye, Tristan Thompson, Grant Williams, Robert Williams, Romeo Langford and Kemba Walker are all out tonight. The first seven guys are out due to NBA protocols.

Okay, so it looks like I don't know how to embed a tweet, but it is as we feared. Can't imagine this will go well, but looking forward to the game regardless.

Its also being reported it will be this way through the next 3 games(including tonight's) and maybe longer.

1 celtics play heat
2 celtics have outbreak and guys get shelved by tracing
3. Celtics play wizards
4. Tatum and Beal are put into quarantine
5. Heat defeat Wizards sans Beal
6. Heat (still at full strength) play C's skeleton roster

Does this make sense to anyone at all? Seems arbitrary and potentially corrupt. Imagine being in the league office, knowing who is going to be quarantined and who isn't before anyone else.
how is this corrupt? i am not following your argument here. are you suggesting that the NBA some how arranges games to put some teams at an advantage over others due to roster losses? obviously, that makes no sense.

why is it arbitrary? they follow testing for all teams and i cannot imagine the nba would risk the credibility of the entire league and its pandemic policies to stack rosters for a few games.

this is bad luck for the celtics, that is all i am seeing.

Lol ok buddy.
