Trade possibility - Dillon Brooks?

I don't know how Brooks current contract would work, if it would make the Grizzlies less likely to trade him. But let's just say that Sacramento and Orlando continue to play well, and so some of our favorite trade targets like Gordon and Hield are not available, and Memphis is doing poorly.  I think one thing we need is an average to large back up wing. Brooks is a lot like Pritchard. He is smart tough and outplays his athletic talent. He is a good defender who handles switches well, and has an offensive game both inside and out, can even create his own shot a little bit. 
I think because of his athletic limitations, he will never command 20 mil a year. We actually might be able to keep him in the long run, where as Gordon will be just year and a half rental for us.

He signed a 3-year $35M extension in February 2020.  I don't believe Memphis trades him.

Interesting, He and Pritchard were on the Oregon team that made the final four for the first time in 16-17.  Pritchard was a freshman and Dillon was a junior.

...and we already have Pritchard so why give up assets for Brooks?  I know that comment is snarky, but man-love for an opponent's player always seems to happen after every game.  More generally, I do not see a wing-depth problem on this team esp with Nesmith and Langford on the team.

If we are trading with the Grizzlies, gimme Kyle Anderson. His pass-first mentality is exactly what we need at the wing position, given that he'd be playing alongside 2 score-first wings. Obviously, he ain't athletic. I mean, he is nicknamed "Slow Mo". That being said, he's a very good team defender thanks to his 7' 2.75'' wingspan and his high BBIQ. The Grizzlies allowed -3.5 points per 100 possessions with Anderson on the court last season.
