I don't know how Brooks current contract would work, if it would make the Grizzlies less likely to trade him. But let's just say that Sacramento and Orlando continue to play well, and so some of our favorite trade targets like Gordon and Hield are not available, and Memphis is doing poorly. I think one thing we need is an average to large back up wing. Brooks is a lot like Pritchard. He is smart tough and outplays his athletic talent. He is a good defender who handles switches well, and has an offensive game both inside and out, can even create his own shot a little bit.
I think because of his athletic limitations, he will never command 20 mil a year. We actually might be able to keep him in the long run, where as Gordon will be just year and a half rental for us.
