If ever Celtics gets involved on a trade, I think we will just be a facilitator. But who should we take? We have the TPE to absorb some huge contracts.

Never thought Harden wouldn't want to come here.

I believe folks too much onus on which teams are & are not on these lists.

I don't think Ainge would try to shop for him though.

I can see Miami going for Harden. Reilly is so competitive that he would be willing to compromise on culture fit plus i think Jimmy can keep him in check.
If Miami and Houston need our help why not take on the Iggy and Leonard contracts and send Carsen and JG back ? This would save Houston a ton of money so they would do it. We also will add more championship experience and shooting at the center position.

I don't see a scenario where we keep Brown in a Harden trade. I just don't. Many teams can beat a trade like that. So the question for me is, is the risk of Harden worth losing Brown? I honestly don't know.

I’m sure Houston has zero interest in Kemba, which is the only trade that makes sense.

You mean for Boston.

Kemba and Wall makes sense?

Iggy is cooked.

“I’m sure Houston has zero interest in Kemba”

Seems like Roy wasn’t saying they make sense.

After carefully examining the advanced analytics re: how his game would fit with Tatum's, shot charts, RPM, CARMELO ratings over the next 3-4 years, expected PER of any draft picks we would give up, fit with Brad's offensive and defensive schemes, lineup permutations and detailed matchup projections with all conference and non-conference rivals, I have reached the following professional evaluation of a Harden trade:

Barf.

Harden in Portland would be wild. Presumably McCollum + everything besides Dame for Harden

In the trade machine, POR doesn't have many other players than McCollum to throw into the trade. Zach Collins would be the next best piece they could include and he's had injury issues and Kanter would be the other piece that they could include and he's a journeyman, not a young asset. Brown was a better player than McCollum last year and at 24 has not hit his prime while McCollum at 29 is near the end of his prime years.

Even if we're not interested, it's difficult to see HOU doing a deal in their own conference for so little return.

Well there you go. I didn't even have Semi's opinion in my advanced analytical model, and his opinion should clearly have like, an 85% weight in the whole process. I hope Danny is aware of it.

lolololololololol

really? now you see the light?

Rockets can have anyone but Brown, Smart, Tatum, Teague and Thompson.

That's actually quite a lot to offer. In contrary to most teams who contend we have all our own draft picks and a bunch of promising players on team-friendly rookie contracts. We can offer 4 first rounders (2021-2023-2025-2027) + 3 pick swaps (2022-2024-2026) + 5 drafted first rounders on a rookie contract (Pritchard-Langford-Nesmith-G.Williams-R.Williams).
It would actually be crazy to offer all that  :o.

The problem is what team is interested in taking on Kemba Walker? The Bulls maybe? Or the Knicks?
And if I was Houston I'd want at least one building block (insisting on Brown) instead of a large pile of picks and rookies, which may never produce an All Star.
