Judging by BS recent remarks, we won't be seeing TT on the court til maybe mid January!  Said he's done next to nothing on the court yet, and hasn't played since season before the bubble!  Has been completely out of action since injuring his hamstring about two months ago.  Must be worst hammy pull in history!  With Theis apparently working back slowly ? from offseason knee surgery, we should just have a ball trying to stop Embiid and other bigs!  Get used to alot of 6'6" GWilliams playing center!  That should be fun!  Just bummin a bit, cause I didn't realize TT was that far away from even getting on the court!
I say, unleash Tacko!  Much rather see that, than watch GW get annihilated by guys barely taller than him.

Expect some interesting minutes for Tacko defending Joel Embiid.  If nothing else, he will make Embiid look relatively small. Will be fun.

Kyle O'Quinn is still out there  ;)

Let Edwards, Green, Ojeleye and Jefferson fight it out for the last two roster spots.

Good news is that Robert Williams is going to play a lot of minutes, he's ready!

What the hell is it with Ainge signing injured players?  Who does he hire to review their physicals?

All sorts of silver lining possibilities with the injuries.  Bob emerges, Grant continues his progress.  We see what Teague still has and what Payton may bring -- both have the chance to get used to their new teammates.  Then Kemba and TT come back -- and C's will be strong.

CBS says he may not be ready for the opener, and all of the sudden we've got him missing a month?

I was thinking the same thing, wondering if I missed something.

There can be silver linings with things like this as others have said but I would far prefer to see a new guy like Thompson on the court and getting the chance to work as a unit.  It takes some time for new players to gel with a new team and vice versa.  The sooner that process starts, and the more contiguous the process is, the better.

Thompson not being out there will allow some other players more time but not necessarily in the roles they will have once Thompson is back.  Sure, maybe there is some individual development by the likes of GWill and RWill, which is good, but in terms of the team, it is still better to have Thompson in his role and everyone else getting to play in their roles alongside him.

I am not worried, it seems that Thompson will be back soon enough.

*sigh* I've had quite enough of Celtics injuries and trying to find the silver linings with them, but I guess this is just how it is with this team.

I haven't seen anything saying he'd miss a month. The most recent reports said he might miss the opener. I'm sensing some exaggeration from the OP. Or maybe he just likes exclamation points.

Its a tight hamstring, not mcl tear

Thompson has been a Celtics fan prior to getting drafted

I'm glad he decided to sign with the team. He could have easily gone to the raptors etc.

Celts got the best big available/and that wanted to join the team for the right price

Dont listen to that clown Adam Jones

If you listen to BS recent injury update on TT, he said that TT has done "nothing on the court" except for walking thru some game situations, and has not "played" at all since before the bubble.  Said that once he gets back on the court doing basketball activities it will take him "some time" to ramp up.  With the season only a week away and already halfway thru December, using common sense would only make one believe that he's a minimum of 2-4 weeks away from being part of the rotation.

He was active in practice today. Seems a bit like speculative noise.
