He is listed as 6'-8" on ESPN and NBA.com.  Last year they cleaned this up and every player had to have an accurate height listed, measures without shoes, and I think even certified by a Doctor.  If 6'-10" is referenced somewhere, I suspect this is with shoes which is not official and really does not mean anything.

I think it came from Brad Stevens back in August:

Tatum is good. But lets wait to see if he can help propel the team past the ecf

Kemba is over praising imo.

Get past ecf and then win a championship

I’d rather Kemba be overly praising than the opposite

I've been arguing for years that Tatum is taller than listed. Most of his measurements were grandfathered in from his junior year of high school, including his wingspan, when he was 16.

Last summer there were a ton of training videos of him going against Embiid and Bamba. He did not look much shorter than either player.

I don't know. He looked a couple of inches taller than Brown last year. Embiid is enormous.

I thought he looked taller too and that was right since he says he grew close to an inch since high school and probably added to his wing span.  That said, he was officially measured at 6’7 5/8” last year.   It gets confusing because player’ heights were exaggerated for so long and corrected last season.  He was one of the very few who didn’t shrink with the new accurate measurements last year.

Lebron And Jordan were both 27 when they won their first titles. Tatum is on course to surpass that. 5 years before that age. Time will tell.

I’m reading that Brad said that Tatum is 6’10” now. I guess we’ll see on Tuesday!

He was measured as 3/8ths of an inch shorter than 6'8 last year without shoes. This is a crazy growth spurt even if he's 6'9 barefoot lol.

Tatum claimed to be 6'9 a few days ago on instagram.

For whoever mentioned him above, IIRC someone leaked Philly's actual measurments last offseason, and Embiid was 6'11.5.

Re: Tatum, the big # to me is that he's supposedly added 10 lbs+. I guess we'll  see in the next few days.
