The NBA this season just feels top-heavy. In no particular order, the only teams with an actual chance of winning it all is MIL, BKN, PHI (if Embiid's healthy), LAL, UTAH, LAC. That's basically it.
Credit to what the Suns are doing, but I don't think they'll be a real threat after the first round in the West. And besides that, it's just a ton of middling/mediocre teams. Maybe 1 or 2 teams surprise as we sometimes see, but otherwise it just feels there's only 5 real contenders this season in the NBA.
And also, a lot of the buyouts and FA's will probably choose those 5-6 teams anyways. Griffin already did. Cousins likely will too. So could a guy like PJ Tucker or Aldridge if they are bought out.
