For all the handwriting about the Celtics record so far, the heat are 2-2, the Bucks are 2-3 and the Nets are 3-2

Seems like all the top teams in the east are struggling abit out of the gate

Yep, if you look at both conferences, there are a lot of playoff teams and contenders who are 3-2, 2-2, 1-2 or even 1-3 right now. And frankly, if you take a closer look at each team, I think every playoff team/contender has had at least 1 terrible game to date. The Clippers are 4-1 but had that historic loss to the Mavericks just days ago (when they were down 50 at halftime).

Teams like the Kings, Magic, etc. are Top-3 in the each conference right now, which definitely won't last. Still early in the season. I still think the C's have some issues they'll need to fix and improve on going forward, but I'm definitely not "panicking" about anything right now.

No one will admit it publicly, but I think a lot of organizations are spending the first month (first 10-15 games) more so as "preseason" and getting guys up to speed. Because of no traditional preseason, and we've already seen some key guys go down to serious injuries early on.

Celtics had a tough early schedule playing Milwaukee, Brooklyn and Indiana twice on the road. To come out 2-2 playing those first 4 games, should probably have been expected. Though the Nets game was an ugly blowout, the team generally played great through 5 games, otherwise.

I also think a real factor in the current records of the better and lesser teams is that the teams in the bubble, while not necessarily rusty from having recently played, are exhibiting a little bit of fatigue from no real offseason.  the teams that have not played since prior to the bubble are very well rested and apparently ready to go this season

Keep this up, Simmons......

Granted - I'd feel some extra courage myself and shoot threes if I'm beating an opponent by 40 but still I hope he gets better at this.

He is short-changing no one but himself for not working on this part of his game.

EDIT - Evidently he took this three early on in the game to put PHI up 12 - 9.

He STILL needs to hone this part of his game.

Injuries already starting to make a mark on this season.

Ja Morant went down though thankfully it may not be as serious as expected. Still, he'll probably miss 1.5 months. Nets lost Dinwiddie for the season. C's missing Kemba probably for the first 1.5 to 2 months. Kevin Love out for 4 weeks for Cleveland. Now TJ Warren is out indefinitely and probably for a good chunk of the season due to a foot injury. That's quietly a big loss for Indiana.

I think the Celtics are next just knowing their injury luck and all. Walker doesn't count since he already got injured during the offseason lol

Hawks blowing out the nets tonight. Atlanta might be making the leap this year.

Nets lose to Wiz by 1. Last SEC misses by Kyrie and Durant.

Wish that we could play that Nets team.

3-4 Nets were giving 17.5 according to NBA-TV announcer.
