Christian Wood is legit. 31 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists on 14-22 from the floor in his regular season debut for the Rockets.

We should have signed Wood instead of Thompson. Could have easily beaten Houston's offer of Ariza + Isaiah Stewart (#16) + future second. I realize that Danny's priority was to keep Hayward, in which case it was practically impossible to target Wood. What bothers me is that we didn't have a backup plan. Danny knew that Hayward was planning to walk. We should have instantly targeted Christian Wood. The timing wasn't ideal, but he was definitely a realistic target. Too late now. Wood can't be traded till February 5. By then he'll be practically untouchable. At the very least, he won't be a bargain anymore.
So sounds like Hayward has been screwing Danny’s grand plans in multiple way throughout his three years here 🤣

OMG now 62-18.

I know the Clippers don't have Kawhi but still, that's embarrassing.

I still think the Mavericks are a team to watch in the West and a contender. They may be 0-2 and coming off a loss to LAL, but if they get Porzingis back and can gel together as the season progresses, they'll be dangerous. They probably should have beaten the Clippers last season too if it weren't for that BS Porzingis ejection and then the injuries to KP and Doncic that affected them in the last few games of the series.

50 pt game at the half... is that some kind of record?

I think that IS a record.

Also, just let it sink in that Paul George is currently the highest paid player in the entire NBA

How so? He has the ninth highest salary this year, and the 8th most guaranteed money currently left on his deal.

Although thats still not ideal.
