My guess is that Danny Ainge was hoping this from Kyrie Irving. But that guy just wanted Lebron limelight and didnt know how to lead/got easily frustrated

In Thompson the Celts get their Haslem/Perkins figure. Not the best player on the team but wont be shy to hold other players accountable, stars or role players.

TT can be that kind of leader because he is a solid player in his prime who has a ring and works like a junkyard dog.  I'm so excited to have that guy on our team.  I really think he will help push Brown, Tatum, and our younger guys to new levels.  As a guy who grew up loving to watch the defensive battles of the 90's, I'm excited to see Smart, Brown, Tatum, Thompson, and Theis or G Williams on the floor getting stops in crunch time.
