They should retire 11 to rafters with the term”cursed” next to it.

Are you submitting without comment as an argument for my suggestion, or against it? It's an absolute revolving door, going all the way back to the 1940s.

My very first basketball uniform was #11, which I proudly wore because of my love for Charlie Scott!  Or maybe I loved Charlie Scott because I had the number.  It was a long time ago.'

Either way, he was a decent player.  Better than 99% of the guys on that list.
Yup

Not a great list, although there’s an argument that 11 should have been retired a long time ago.  Chuck Cooper was the first black draftee, and was among the first trio of black players to play in the NBA.

Between 1955-65, #11 took a knee... and the Cs won 8 Championships.

Here's to it taking another rest soon!

Fair enough. We should put it in the rafters in exchange for #31, hand that to Pritchard, then hoist the Larry O'Brian in 2021.

Why are low numbers so popular

They should have picked like 74 and 93

Dana Barros has to be my favorite Celtic #11 ever. Local kid making good on local team. Plus he had that whole "little guy" thing going for him.

Agreed. He never quite lived up to that All-Star season in Philly, but was still a good player (and held the dang number for a while).

By the way, I worked with his cousin who was from the Fall River area, and she always told me how he held onto relationships he had his whole life despite making bank.
