Looks like Taco just signed a two-way deal.

Anyone seen anything on Waters? If he turns down his qualifying offer, is he free to sign anywhere?

It's my personal feeling that Waters stands a good chance to be a rotation player on the Cs by the end of the season.

It would be interesting. He might see some form of writing on the wall with the drafting of Pritchard, who projects as an NBA-ready player quite immediately, and the signing of Teague. That puts 3 point guards ahead of him immediately.

I like Waters more than Edwards, but I wouldn't fault Waters for wanting to head off if he thinks he can crack the rotation elsewhere

I don't agree that Pritchard automatically is ahead of him on the depth chart, having never played an NBA minute. And if Walker is hurt, one of them is going to play some legit minutes this year in a back-up role.

I don't think it really matters, given Waters has played 119 NBA minutes. Not too much difference. Especially given how bad Waters was when he played NBA minutes. I don't think Waters would see too much time even if Kemba went down. I think Smart would take on more playmaking duties and play more, as would our bench wings in Langford and Nesmith.

Sweet, it'll be nice to have Tacko around again. He is about as likable a guy as there is out there. With no Poirier on the team, he actually moves up the depth chart should their be an injury to one of the Centers. I get it, he isn't likely to ever be a truly impactful NBA player, but I don't mind have the extra (and I mean EXTRA) big body available since we lost our two 7-footers.

Edit: See that Waters is back, too. He did great in G-League last year so I guess we'll see if he can improve at all. At the very least, it looks like we'll have some roster continuity.

Glad both of them made it back for next year. It is fun to root for them, especially Tacko since he is such a nice person and such a great long-shot story.

This year will decided their careers with the Celtics. If they improve and take further steps they will probably make the roster next year. If not, then it's been nice knowing them.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

It’d be great if tacko could actually do something.
