This seems too early, as free agency and the Harden saga are still ongoing. However, I do hope your right with the Celtics prediction.

not really

Training camp is closing in quick (a week away)

I doubt Harden/RW trades happen. And better shot during the trade deadline

lastly, majority of remaining free agents are minor role players

I dont know about the Warriors being that high.  I think the Nets, if healthy (big if) are a top 4 team in the east.

I can see some teams that played long in the bubble resting people. Not sure teams will put the effort in to be regular season champs.

Offseason isn't over yet.

That said, as things stand, I think the playoff picture looks mostly the same.

Thunder are out in the West, Suns look to be in.  Warriors may be in, though it won't be easy.

Out East, it seems like the same list of teams.  Can't think of any teams that didn't make it last year that seem likely to make it this year.

Nets wont be as good as people think imo

Kyrie plays no defense. Also needs to be load managed. KD wont be the same healthwise. Usually takes a year to fully recover.

I agree with you here, but it looks like you have the Mavericks out of the playoffs.  I think that's very wrong.

What is your list?

It will be tight between Suns, Jazz, Mavs for the last two spots... but Mavs wont get in without a healthy Kristap

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
My list for the upcoming season/prediction

WEST

1. Nuggets
2. Clippers
3. Lakers
4. Blazers
5. Warriors
6. Rockets
7. Suns
8. Jazz

EAST

1.  Celtics
2.  Heat
3.  Bucks
4.  76ers
5.  Raptors
6.  Nets
7.  Pacers
8.  Hawks
My thoughts, Lakers have to be number one in the West. I think Warriors will be higher with Steph having an MVP type season. Jazz will be much higher (they have been a mid seed playoff team the past few years and I don't think they got worse).

Despite what happened in the bubble Giannis is the back to back MVP, no way they don't finish in the top two. If the Nets are that low you must assume that KD and/or Kyrie will get hurt. I might have Charlotte in the last spot over the Hawks.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I think that the Hawks might replace the Magic in the Playoffs. Their defense will still probably be bad, but that offense might be one of the best in the league.

PG: Dennis Johnson / Jo Jo White / Stephon Marbury
SG: Sidney Moncrief / World B. Free
SF: Chris Mullin / Ron Artest

Magic have had a very quiet offseason

Warriors don't make it in...really?

Raptors after losing Ibaka, became a weaker team.... Not sure if they secure #2 in the regular season

But hey its your prediction.

I think Thompson was a huge loss and do Steph and Oubre bring 20+ more wins in a tough West?  Wiseman's that much of a difference?  I debated them or Suns.  Toronto just wins and Baynes is a good pickup. I think Siakam will be motivated after bubble performance.  Really, I only see Thunder and Magic out from last year.
