I like TT much more than Turner McDermott. That’s night and day for me. I don’t even want Turner added here for nothing. I don’t want his dogging it rubbing off on the team. We get a less talented player but a guy who will battle for us.
I’m guessing but I bet Brad hated this move but Danny did it anyways .  makes me love it even more. But Brad’s gotta play him. That’s the key. Brad has to move away from the hard line commitment to analytics if he knows how to coach another way that is. He’s smart. I should think so.
Analytics would actually suggest us to add a big like Thompson??? :o
Are you implying that actual analytics is more complicated than "3s=good"? That's ridiculous!
Lol TP for the sarcasm, it's nuts how many people think that analytics is a bunch of nerds reading spreadsheets.

Did anyone sign mamadi Diakite yet?
who???

Bucks nabbed him.

Sf/pf that went undrafted. Super high motor, high IQ, good pickup for them

I didn't realize his 3pt shot had become almost serviceable in the last year. Gives him a shot of being in the league.

I’ve watched every game he’s played in college. He’s come light years from when he was a freshman. His athleticism is off the charts. And his three point shot was a revelation the past two years.

He compares physically and skill-wise to Siakim except in the ball-handling category. He played PF or C at UVA so he was never asked to dribble-drive. He’s got great, soft hands, and a pretty good handle.

If he spends a season in the G-League working on his driving ability he could be a revelation.

The bad part is that he turns 24 in January. So he’d be 25 before getting any really good run with the Bucks.

So far, Atlanta is having the best offseason

I like POR's offseason better. They continue to be one of the best run teams in the NBA.

TP. I agree with you. Very impressed with their additions on the wing with Covington, Jones and holding on to Hood and Anthony. Portland should make the top 4 in the West now.

MLE money for Saric. Much more in line with what I expected. I imagine the Suns would have matched any offer we could have made.

Which is fine for a 1-2 year deal for AD, but if they want him to commit long-term, what else is on the roster for him when Lebron poops out? They traded away their prospects and picks already.

Isaiah Thomas? Still available. Cheap money. It should happen. He can take Green's spot.

Do we still have Javonte? Can we waive him? I just can't see Green being useful in any way now with this roster.

Yep. I believe his contract is not guaranteed, and he can be waived until February. A wasted roster spot. Come on, bring back IT.

The reporting I've read is that Davis is either going to sign for 5 years or a 1 + 1.  He has allegedly ruled out any other contract length.  Obviously those are both for the max allowed under the cap.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Which is smart for him to consider. A 1+1 gives him 2 more years to contend with Lebron and keep his options wide open afterwards. If I were him, I would want to see more evidence that they have the pieces in place to contend past that in order to commit to 5 years.

He has to ask himself, would Lebron commit to 5 years in that situation? In the past, he has not. Neither did KD who was in even better situations.

Take the money.  You can always force a trade later.

I am surprised Phoenix paid to keep Saric. I did not think they liked him. His minutes there have not been consistent.

Not sure it is a good move for player or team. CP3 and Booker will dominate the ball there. It will be hard for a ball-handler like Saric to get enough touches to stay involved / be in rhythm. Those two guards would do better with a more off-ball spot up shooter type at forward that someone who needs steady touches of the ball (with a solid all-round offensive game).

I could see that relationship souring next season and Saric becoming available in the trade market at either midseason or next summer.
