The reporting I've read is that Davis is either going to sign for 5 years or a 1 + 1.  He has allegedly ruled out any other contract length.  Obviously those are both for the max allowed under the cap.

Take the money.  You can always force a trade later.

Normally yes, but as we saw with KD, guys like AD get the money down the road even if they get a serious injury.

Davis maximizes his earning ability taking the 1+1 and hitting the 10 year mark when he becomes a FA again. I expect he'll take the 1+1.

Isaiah Thomas? Still available. Cheap money. It should happen. He can take Green's spot.

What was the point of bringing in Teague if you also sign Thomas?
At this point we shouldn't do that. I'd have preferred Thomas over Teague actually, but I believe this ship has sailed, because Isaiah deserves better than becoming a Tacko Fall-like-gimmick.

Would be funny though to watch 3 guards (basically the same age) that used to battle each other in the East and made All Star appearances come together on the same team battling each other for minutes.

I think some teams will regret passing on Boogie.

I think so too. Houston's a good location for him.

Shams Charania: Cousins will sign a one-year, non-guaranteed deal, sources said. Houston expressed interest in signing the four-time All-Star before the NBA restart in July. Cousins serves as an upside signing, and has shown focus and drive in rehab through multiple long-term injuries. – via Twitter ShamsCharania

Dirt cheap.  I would have signed him and then cut Edwards to sign a wing.

Celts already have Thompson, Theis, Rob Williams, and to a lesser extent Grant Williams in line for minutes at the 5.

Maybe I'm just pessimistic, but I think Boogie is 100% cooked. He's not just done, he's done-er than done. He was a questionable defender with slow foot speed before suffering multiple injuries, so now I'm skeptical he can even stay on the floor against most teams. Not worth even a flyer IMO. Would have rather gotten practically any other big available, like we ended up doing with Thompson.
