Wow! OKC and New Orleans are going to be taking half the picks in every draft for the next few years.

Weird that they'd take on Horford's salary. Wonder if they have something else lined up

Wow! Maybe Al gets bought out? Sam Presti is collecting picks pretty much like Danny has been doing. I have a feeling Al is somehow gonna end up as a Celtic. Wasn’t Presti the one who traded Ray to us?

Buyout?

0% chance. That would give them 3 years of massive dead cap (full salary next 2 years, $14 million guarantee year 3), or 7 of $9.8 million in dead cap if they stretched it. They're better off holding him and hoping he either rehabs his value (like CP3 did), can be used in a bigger trade down the line (they have the picks for it), or dump him for less after holding him for a year or two.
