I am not sure how I feel about the following, but I am wondering why there has been no chatter about a Hayward for Love swap with some other pieces involved (possibly one of Cleveland's PGs for Langford as part of the deal, or possibly some picks going either way).

Love is a bad defender, but a very good stretch 4 (or 5) and it allows us to move Hayward and get something back.  Also, I think having a starting 5 with Love and either Timelord or Theis in there would be a very well-balanced lineup and would have less rebounding issues than previous versions of this team.

I agree that this could be a consideration and think it might be a good fit.  Also surprised it isn't a bigger consideration.  But I don't think the cavs should want hayward anymore than they should want love.

It is the contract.  I would rather trade for Drummond if I was going to deal with Cleveland.

Great, another trade proposal with Romeo Langford as a throw in. LOL.

Not just a throw in - I am hoping to get Garland or Sexton in the deal.  If we have to add a pick or 2 to make it happen, I'm okay with that too.

Sorry, I missed that.  Sexton not Garland, I'm okay.

I proposed something like Love, 5 for Hayward, 14, 26 the other day and I still think that is a good trade for both teams.  Boston gets into the top 5 and gets a better fitting veteran on the team.  Love, Tatum, Brown, Smart, Walker is a better starting 5 than you'd otherwise have.  You add someone like Toppin, Avdija, or Okongwu at 5 and still have Langford, Williams, Williams, Kanter, Theis, Semi, Wanamaker, and 30 on the bench.  Cleveland gets out of Love, gets a short term veteran SF (something they need), and still ends up in the lottery and with another 1st.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I like that trade. I just think it messes the salary cap up big time in 2021-2022. Someone would have to go that year.

I've always thought Love would have a resurgence in CBS system.

Would you rather play for Cleveland or Atlanta right now?

Depends what I was looking for. I'd rather live in Cleveland though. Keep me away from that sprawl

No argument there.  I lived in Cleveland for awhile.  Not bad.

Hayward won't opt in to get traded to CLE.  This will never happen.
