Unless Danny can gain entry into the top 10.  He is faced with drafting one of these bigs.

Which big from this list do you like/fits the Celtics system??

For example some love Isiah Stewart strength, motor and dominance last season.   But at the end of the day, is his ceiling basically Montrezl Harrell?   Who we all know is hard to play against.  Strong, good motor. But is short and has limitations against the premier bigs.

Achiuwa is one of the most gifted athletes of the draft. But plays a little wild/scattered at times.  Could Brad Stevens live with some of these unforced errors?

Xavier Tillman is a like a 6'8 Grant Williams.  Technically sound, strong, plays hard.  Big strong hands.   But is a so so athlete.  Offensively lacks scoring instincts/touch.  Question mark regarding shooting

Tillman is nice but undersized.

Oturo is the guy for me. For some reason he isnt getting nearly enough credit in this draft.

Got a bit of Serg Ibaka to his game.
Can defend
Can score off the roll
can spread the floor
Great size

Not good at defending on the switch, I think he can learn though. Good speed.

I think if it's a big, Precious Achiuwa out of Memphis is the guy at 14, just because we won't get up into the top ten.  I like one mock where I saw them draft at 14 (Hampton), then trade 26 and 30 to get to 17 (Achiuwa).  Not sure how realistic, but hey, one can hope.

Gouki88 said he is a little "lost" at the moment. Poor passer and defensively could be overwhelmed by complexity.

I think he could be ok as long as you don't ask too much from him and let him stick to a simple game.  At the moment, his ceiling looks like pure role big off the bench.   But his improvement from fresh to soph was impressive

I really dont like PRecious at all.

JYD, or Jerome WIlliams. Maybe a bit of Kenneth Faried. Dont think a player like that fits in the NBA anymore.

Last season Achiuwa had a game where he notched 22 points and 22 rebounds

That is pretty wild.  Thats Faried type "I want the ball"

Yeah, he isnt going to change the game coming into the league, but he is capable to replace Kanter now, And with some improvement would be a very acceptable backup big.

I think TImelord can be the starting big.

Tillman at 30.  Better value than Precious at 14. No brainer really.

Not a bad plan. Vs 4 selections

Achiuwa was only a freshman but 99 born? While Stewart is almost two years younger.

Stewart strength and motor is intriguing. He looks like he will impose his will until you give up.  We could have used a guy like that against the Heat

Tillman is a safe pick for sure. His hands are bigger than most true centers.  If his 3 pt shooting and willingness to take it has improved. Could be a very good pick late 1st

I like Paul Reed at the end of the first. Looks like a modern NBA big.

Reed measured at 219 pounds at the combine last week.  Like Smith ... this underweight is a little concerning

Brice Johnson had a very short career ... this was one of the key reason

Reed is more like a big forward but that who plays center a lot; in the modern NBA. He looks bigger than Theis and he has a very good outside shot. I wish the shooting % were higher but I think he’ll be better as he goes along.
