So OKC has traded their starting and back up point guards.  Doesn't sound like much of a plan.

They're getting Rubio back in the deal and they still have Shai (who should be the focal point of their build moving forward).

That's quite a haul for a player at that age on a contract like that.

An solid starting pass first point guard who plays defense
A young wing who averaged 18.7 pts a game and plays decent defense
A 1st round pick from an average team

Really, really, really bad move for the Suns.

I have the feeling Presti would trade Shai if he gets a good offer... maybe Ainge can give him 3 picks this year plus two more in the future

OKC really scored capital on both ends of Chris Paul trades.

Well I hope Booker and co. enjoyed playing basketball while fun was still on the menu.

Maybe they'll actually make the playoffs before they all ask out of town because they're sick of getting bossed around by CP3.

Just smart asset management by Presti here.

Good point.  That makes perfect sense.  It is still a little odd to me that they would trade Schroder when they were planning to trade Chris Paul.

They are quite a ways from worrying about being a well composed roster. They are collecting assets.
