If 14 and another first gets okongwu or hayes then make that deal.

Not sure that makes it.sheddjng them from loves salary probably gets the pick though.

But who wants love? Gsw? Portland? Sas?

Derozan, poirier to detroit
Snell, gay and 14 to cleveland
Hayward and love and 7 to spurs
Murray and 5 to boston??
Oh I think if you got them out of Love they might do that.  I mean would Boston do something like like Love and 5 for Hayward and 14?  On some level I think that makes sense for both teams, and I do like the thought of Love grabbing rebounds and bombing 3's for the C's (he was still basically an 18/10 guy with a TS% of 60).

I could certainly argue that this team is closer to a title than the one where you don't make the trade, but it is certainly a risky move.

PG - Walker, Wanamaker, 30
SG - Smart, Langford, 26
SF - Brown, 5, Ojeleye
PF - Tatum, Williams, Williams
C - Love, Theis, Kanter
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I feel like this trade could workout IF Cavs like Achiuwa.   And Celts could draft him at 14

So Cavs take Okongwu.  But willing to trade him for Achiuwa + 26 and future 1st round pick

I'm pretty sure most folks here would be happy with this arrangement

I guess many folks here compare him to Bam on D end with also some of his ability on offense. Mainly pnr/quick roll/ downhill/alleys

This. Everyone complains about being undersized and the gushes over a 6’8” center. Makes no sense. I do not believe the Cs care to spend much money on the big position. Should they keep their picks or even move up on the lottery, it will be to select another wing.

Not sure who you rather have.  You want Brook Lopez size?

Bam who is only 6'9 ran circles around him

Imagine the reaction here if Danny traded a 5 for a 14 and a late first rounder?
They're going to find it as hard to make a deal for picks this year as it was last year.
Hopefully if forced to use them Danny won't draft 3 more guys who can't shoot.

How did it go for Bam when he had to guard AD in the finals?

If they are going to draft in the lottery, I’d rather they not draft an undersized developmental big man. Everyone wants to compare Okongwu to Bam but the reality is they are different players and it’s unlikely it will work out that way.

AD is a unicorn

No center will be able to stop him completely

I also get your point, it is a leap of faith to compare Okongwu to Bam

But beggers cant be choosers.

The choices are limited.   End of the day, Celts must upgrade from Theis at Center one way or the other
