So literally just a white jersey with Boston Celtics stuffed on the front?

I agree with gouki88

Lol.  How many dozens of hours did that take the designer?

I actually kind-of like them. I mean, they aren't very attractive and I would never buy one; but for a city jersey, at least the idea is pretty cool.

Trying to pay homage to the banners.... maybe put a tiny green frame around the outside edge? Just white warmup throws is very dumb.

These ones in the comments are a little more like Boston’s city vibe:

DANG!!!!!

And I thought the grey ones were terrible!!

This isn't coming from a reputable source, I hope. Heck, I bet every person in this thread could come up with a better looking jersey if they tried to design one.

Bland ? Maybe.

But a huge improvement on those clown suits they wore last year. I'm assuming this "city edition" uniform is some Nike/NBA requirement just to make more jerseys available to make more money. Gawd, the whole lot of them are awful. What else would you expect from Nike ?

Dreadful.

I'd rather they have the Dunkin' Donuts design by Roy.

At least we could laugh, instead of just cringe.

LOL. These are horrendous. If this is the case then the Grey jerseys are no longer the worst!

Celtics do not need anything other than their home white and away green.

The black alternates are fine. I liked the St. Patty’s Day jerseys back in ~2008. But all these new Nike city/heritage/whatever jerseys are very un-Celtics-like.

Celtics jerseys should be held in the same regard as Yankees jerseys. Classic, understated, timeless. They don’t need their jerseys jazzed up to sell. Just win.

Perfectly stated. Thank You.

I, like you, am ok with the black alternates but on a very limited basis and I love the St. Patrick's uniforms worn during that week. But 90% of the time, wear the traditional whites at home and greens on the road. They are simply beautiful.
