Precious' brother is named God'sgift?

And another brother named God’swill.  How awkward to have to call them by their names.  Hey, “God’s Gift”... eww.
Feel like it would be odd being their friend. God for short? Or Gift?

I guess with God'swill you could go by Will pretty easily.

In case anyone is curious, the CB/CS page record for draft night is 114 pages back in 2016.   Started doing these in '08 (unless someone can track down the '07 one).
Guessing the drafts that we have a high pick are the ones that get the most traffic?

'16 is a real outlier.  Blows all the other ones out of the water for some reason.  '17 was down to 40 pages.

Probably the combination of Jimmy butler trade expectation and the Jaylen pick rxn.
Yeah, lots of folks were mad

Not me. I liked it. But its a good reminder not to get upset about a pick, you never know.

Gotta be maxey next right?

A shooter for a team that needs shooting
maxey shot 29% from 3 point land. good.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Maxey is a good fit in Philadelphia.

Adds some tenacity on defense and doesn't have to be the main ball handler.

I hope we can get a decent BIG with one of our later picks.

Sixers just traded away Al Horford plus picks for Danny Green and stuffs.

They also draft SG Maxey now, so they are really stocking up on more shooting.

Interesting...

Can Ainge move any of these late picks for immediate help the way the Sixers did?

Maxey to Philly. Good pick.

Everyone is drafting for positional needs. (Except of course Sacto, who are reliably suckto)

Some of those years the forums were down, haha.

It was an utter nightmare trying to update the big board for a handful of years.

Yeah, I know a few times I just gave up.

We’re a smaller board now (screw you, SBN), but a smoother one.

Even having to refer to your friend as Precious would be weird.

Maxey has been really working hard on his perimeter shot since finishing up at college. If that work has come good then it's a good pick.

Could be Zhaire Smith 2.0 though

Maxey isn’t a shooter yet, and immediate help is to be determined.  He’s really talented, but not polished.

2016 was a lot of fun.  There was the Butler rumors of course, but also the rumored trade with the Sixers something like Noel, Covington, 24, and 26 for 3.  That was heavily debated.  Then you had it presumed to be a 2 person draft and then like 6 players that were rumored as the 3rd best player.  So there was all the discussion about who to pick when a trade wasn't made, and then debates about the pick after it was made.

Boston was also in a weird place as a team as no one really knew what direction Ainge was going to go.  Boston surprisingly won 48 games, but lost in the 1st round of the playoffs, and we IT had come out of nowhere so there were all the threads about what he was or could be.  Then add to that, Boston having 2 max spots that summer.  It was just one of those times where there was so much going on.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I expect Maxey/Hampton/Bane/Achiuwa to go now.
hoping Bane falls to 26 but doubt he will.  C's getting 2 good shooters in this draft would be a good haul

I would love Bane at 26!
Trade up for Bane, Danny!
