Bey should be really solid.
Unless Kennard is more injured then we know, I'd rather have Kennard.  Obviously closer to paying him, but he looked like he could be a long term starter this year.  basically 16/4/4 on 40% from 3.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

For me, I still see that the Timberwolves picked Poku. Am I missing something?

Traded to OKC for Ricky Rubio and picks.
Weird, the banner still showed Minnesota taking him. Has the trade not been official yet?

Might be because, technically, the trade hasn't been approved yet.

I'd have to guess Precious and Hampton are coming up soon. They're the best prospects left IMO.

Biggest surprise of the night: no trades.

In case anyone is curious, the CB/CS page record for draft night is 114 pages back in 2016.   Started doing these in '08 (unless someone can track down the '07 one).

Guessing the drafts that we have a high pick are the ones that get the most traffic?

Wow I'm surprised that Bey fell so far!  He looks like a steal at that selection.  I hope we don't regret passing on Bey to take Nesmith down the road.

With a 6’10” wingspan, not really undersized.

You make a good point re: Nesmith wingspan.  Most guys his size only have maybe a 6'8 wingspan.  With 6'10 he has the potential to be a better defender than his height would indicate.

However he has to get LOCKED in.  There are examples of really bad defense by Nesmith but also flashes of his upside in this article:
https://hashtagbasketball.com/nba-draft/content/everything-you-need-to-know-about-aaron-nesmith#:~:text=At%206'6%20with%20a,0.991%20PPP%20(12th%20percentile).

Hopefully Nesmith can emerge as a plus defender and plus 3 point shooter.  If it all turns out well he could become an elite 3+D wing in the future and that would be a valuable piece on a winning team.  I'm thinking his ceiling is probably in the mold of a player like Khris Middleton.

Yes It's unlikely but we can dream. :P

I’m not sure that Bam and Precious can play together, but he’s good depth.

'16 is a real outlier.  Blows all the other ones out of the water for some reason.  '17 was down to 40 pages.

hoping Bane falls to 26 but doubt he will.  C's getting 2 good shooters in this draft would be a good haul

Could only play in lineups with 3 shooters I feel. Like a lineup of Dragic-Herro-Robinson-Achiuwa-Bam

Yeah, unless Bam gets a 3pt shot, I don't see the fit. Good value tho.

Probably the combination of Jimmy butler trade expectation and the Jaylen pick rxn.
