Drazen was one of the SG's I was targeting for my next pick.  I think he would have been great between Tiny and Peja.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

With the 9th pick in Round 4 of the 2021 Historical Draft the Phoenix Suns select:

DEANDRE JORDAN

Extremely long and tough defensive frontline with Greek Freak and DeAndre.

Not sure about the fit between Giannis and DaJ, but it looks strong on both ends of the floor.

The Chicago Bulls select Drazen Petrovic pick 3.10

G: Mark Price
G: Drazen Petrovic
F: Julius Erving
F: Shawn Kemp

Two big time shooters & two big time dunkers
Drazen Petrovic may be a top 2 shooter of all time! According to Reggie Miller, ''Petrovic had the quickest release I've ever seen''. He was a firece competitor as well. In a vacuum, I love this pick.

In all honesty, your backcourt reminds me of the modern-day Blazers: elite offense, but below average defense.

C: Arvydas Sabonis
PF: Dennis Rodman
SF:
SG: Klay Thompson
PG: John Stockton

Would love some feedback/suggestions on my squad so far.
Think you could really use a guy who you can run your offence through, Stockton isn't that sort of player with his conservatism. Otherwise the defence looks good if you can find a good backup for Sabonis.

The Raptors are really liking how the team is coming together

PG - Tiny
SG -
SF - Peja
PF - Mailman
C - Big Ben

I've got a few idea for rounding out the starting 5 and a couple of potential 6th men I think would be great for their flexibility.

Also, any thoughts on which Wallace season I should use.  I've really only eliminated the 05 season from his 5 year run (and even then maybe I shouldn't have).  04 is the title year but is the one year he didn't actually win DPOY in the 5 year period and that was his worst offensive season (and his rpg and bpg dropped from the prior two also).  02 was his most efficient scoring and the only time he led the league in both rebounding and shot blocking, but the Pistons weren't nearly as good as a team (lost to the Toine/PP C's in 5 in the ECS) in part because I don't think Wallace had really reached his peak level yet. 03 and 06 he was more efficient scoring than 04 and the team was good (ECF both those years), but by 06 he had lost some explosiveness and 03 I don't think he was quite at peak level yet.  Lots of options on which season to use and I'm just having a hard time figuring it out (the other 3 guys were pretty easy to decide).
I think he peaked in '04. His defensive rebounding rate declined a bit because Rasheed was a strong defensive rebounder as well, and his block rate in '04 only lags behind his '02 campaign. +/- data thinks that he peaked in '04 as well - his PI RAPM rating on both ends of the court peaked in that year.

Debating between 5 different big men for my first pick tomorrow. Unsure which way I'll go. So many different options that will change the dynamic of the team.

All out run and gun basketball
Run and gun with some power basketball
More halfcourt basketball with high post facilitator
More halfcourt with inside-outside game

I like it. I think offensively they will have a few limitation. You could really use a go to scorer in that lineup, but defensively you have the best team.

Don't know enough about Dandridge and Porter tbh, but Butler can definitely create his own shot.

@Somebody
Could you write a few words about Dandridge and Porter? Which modern-day players would be a good comp for them?

We're building for the "MODERN" NBA?

I think the mindset is that we are, correct?

Or is it more important that we "CAN" go Modern NBA OR Tall Frontline Style like the 80s or 90s? Meaning that we'll have an assortment of players on the roster that we can plug and play depending on match ups and styles?

It was my understanding we would be playing with modern rules, but the players are who they are.  I mean everyone is going to have to account for guys like Moses Malone, no matter the rules, he is a beast to guard.
