Everyone has heard the rumors that Hayward wanted to opt out of his contract. Ryan Russilo mentioned it on his podcast. I believe people have heard about Hayward recently bought a house in Indiana for 3.3 million dollars. I realize that he is from Indiana and that could just be an off season home. However, a video came out today with Myles Turner working out with Grant Williams and Tacko fall.

My guess is we did a sign and trade with Indiana Hayward and stuff for Myles Turner. I don't know the details just trying to connect some dots.

Good find.

I am not a Turner fan and I think he is no better than Theis overall. (Theis statistically better in all areas but 3pters attempted and blocks).

However he does have potential., and under Brad he should potentially be a better fit.
And I love the idea of an all-Fiba lineup.

edit to add:

A center rotation of
Turner - normal sized floor spacer
Theis - Small ball
Tacko - Giant old school

Is kinda funny to me.

I wouldn't read that much into it yet.   Guys work out with guys from other teams all the time in the offseason.

I think Boston traded Grant and Tacko for Justin Holiday.

It is unusual that Turner chose to work with Fall and Grant though.

I get they are really likeable guys but I have always heard that you get better by playing against better players. Wouldnt it be prudent for Turner to play with better guys?

I agree.  Pacers would be really good with Brogdon, Oladipo, Hayward, Warren, and Sabonis. That is some serious basketball IQ and passing ability. Maybe as good of a team as Celtics.

We can’t even discuss sign-and-trades right now, let alone agree to them.  In reality it happens, but after last season the Celts and Pacers would both be penalized.

Gotta say, this feels like more than a coincidence.  It just seems way to random that Turner would be working out with GWill and TFall.  Still, could mean nothing.

One thing I noticed is that Grant Williams (6'-6", 230 lbs) looked really small against Turner (6'-11", 250 lbs).

If there is a trade, it likely does involve Hayward, who we may be losing anyway.  It could possibly be a sign and trade with Hayward signing for less but I don't know all the rules.  I think the question is more about Turner and what?  Oladipo?  Lamb?  I doubt we would be getting back Warren, Sabonis, or Brogdan.

I would be happy to get Turner at his current money.  He would bolster our big rotation significantly.  I would be thrilled to get Turner and Oladipo, and happy enough even if it was Turner and Lamb (again, it feels like Hayward is gone no matter what).

I get that we cannot discuss sign and trades (since Hayward is still under his current contract and has not opted out) but we could discuss a trade right?  Maybe there are draft picks involved and they have a trade in principle but they are just waiting for the draft or FA period.

The league won't do anything this year to teams.  It is wild west with the short off season.

Mystery solved. They share the same agent.

Still, why would Turner pick Williams and Tacko to practice against instead of Rasho Nesterovic and Francisco Elson?????

Let's see if a video surfaces of Hayward playing with McConnell and McDermott
