Have fun with that, Doc.
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

Doc won't have to worry about choking 3-1 series leads in Philly, since they won't get those leads in the first place. Doc is playing 4D chess.

I think this is good for Philly.  He will be the best coach they have had in a while.  My question is how does this affect the direction they take on the Roster (Trades).  Would Doc want to Trade Simmons for Walker for example?  Or will he think he can "fix" him and make him a star?

This may be just what Philly needs.

Anyone love how the 76ers always get the Celtics rejects?

Fultz
Horford
Thybulle (in a way)

Poor Doc. He's mightily overrated, but even he doesn't deserve this

Ugh.....so literally the Knicks are the only team in our division who don't have a better coach than us now.

Good for Doc, though, he wanted out of a bad situation and landed right back on his feet. These are the luxuries of being one of the top coaches in the league.

Next season is certainly going to be a tall task to come out on top in our division. I hope the Celtics are ready for the challenge.

I think he's a better choice for the Sixers than Dantoni or Lue.  He's just the coach.  He won't be making personnel moves.  Don't see it happening but if Simmons were to be put on the market, it wouldn't be for Kemba.

LOL. Imagine thinking Doc Rivers is any good, hahahaha.

Seems you've somehow missed Doc Rivers exceeding expectations maybe 2 or 3 times in his whole career as a coach, and mostly falling short in dramatic faction

I don't fall into the 'Doc is great', or the 'Doc sucks' categories, but I think Doc is in for some heartburn coaching that Philly team.

Doc would have more rings if not for injuries...

and I put giving up 3-1 leads in series on the players.  I mean if he's the reason they lost that series then he's also the reason they went up 3-1.  So which is it?  There's no answer, and that's why it's on the players.

The problem in Clipperville was blowing up a team that had excellent chemistry to appease a new guy.  Leonard was greedy and they'd have been better off keeping SGA and Gallo and the picks.  What a positive enviroment they'd be in now.  Instead, Ballmer gets ancy
and they start over.

Finally, coaches are great when they have great players and less great when they don't or the chemistry is poor.  Paul George did not play as advertised for the Clippers.  End of story.

Philly situation will be tough!  Let's see...
