I still say the Cs will attempt to shop him around to see what's available. They may very well come up empty, but cutting some of that salary while also picking up a useful player might be of interest to the Cs moving forward.
On this team, Hayward is a luxury and unfortunately we are paying a luxury price tag for him. I'm just not sure what deal is realistically out there that could move the needle for us in a positive direction.
Dunno if there's a deal but if there's a team with a few reasonable productive veteran role players with 2-3 years left on their deals and they want to trade for Hayward's expiring, I'd be all over that.
The only trade partners I can think of are Denver, Philly and Indy.
Philly is crossed off immediately because we don’t want Horfords or T Harris contracts .
Denver can send us Garry Harris and Will Barton but why would they create a while at the 2 spot and what can we do with those 2 (decent players btw)
And that leaves us with Indy . I don’t think we can pry away Turner without including the draft picks we have this year... so maybe Oladipo and a filler for Hayward.. this is the only realistic one I can think that works for both teams.
Most likely Hayward is staying.
