We will never win anything with this current group unless something significant change. It could be the coaching staff, the players or both. Or just changing their strategy. Analytics basketball just don't work in the post season.

Shaq and Kobe didn't win anything together until Phil Jackson came.

Jayson Tatum in his 3rd year, Jaylen in his 4th, and they're at their ceiling?

Definitely need to make some changes in the supporting cast, and they really need to work on better strategies for closing out games, but it's way too soon to say this group has hit its ceiling.

If the player needs a coach telling them to play hard, it’s the players fault. we need A kg level player.

Sadly someone said this on Reddit the other day (before they came back) and I agree:

I just hope this makes this team hungrier next season. They got beat by a more composed and smarter team.

No, I don't think so.

We lost because of questionable coaching decisions by Brad. Surely players still needs to grow, especially mentally, but we have shown we have the talent. One more year of development from Jaylen and Jayson. Maybe Smart becomes an even better shooter. We have pieces we can use to get maybe a legit big.

I think as disappointing as this loss and exit is, the future still looks bright.

Theis looked terrible tonight. Brad should have called a timeout late in the game as soon as Aba drove right by him and dunked on him. They didnt have time to wait for a timeout or whatever to get a replacement in. It led to an Aba assist to Butler and than an and one as Theis picked up his 6th. This was a key stretch and one Brad could have prevented.   As far as a ceiling I dont know. Is it Brad? I'm not always enamored with his moves or lack of them.. Celtics seem to lack on court leadership.. someone who is respected that can get in guys faces and tell them to wake the Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. up. Disappointed. :(

Not with Jaylen & Jayson, it hasn't.

Team needs to retool its rotation players a bit but this certainly isn't some sort of blow it up or tear it down situation.

They're not there but they're close.

If only we could replace Kemba and Gordon with one legit and experienced superstar, to play with the Js.

If there is one ceiling inhibitor, unfortunately, it's Kemba.

Let's see how next year goes with the improvement of Tatum and Brown.  We basically lost a season with the Kyrie nightmare.  Both guys showed tremendous growth at only 22 and 23 years old.

Danny really needs to find a sharpshooter off the bench and acquire a legit starting Center.  I believe some retooling could go a long way.

they're not at they're ceiling but they need to improve the roster to take that next step.  that could be improving the bench by clearing some deadwood and bringing in some better vets to moving Hayward for several pieces that can provide better depth and play with a fire that's just not part of Hayward's game.

It's simple- just change the philosophy of this offense. Quit pretending they're the Golden State Warriors and start bringing guys in who will bang inside the post/paint.

Also, get rid of the two liable max money players. I'm already sick of one of them who's been sitting on the bench/sucking for about 3 years whose been collecting $127M.

And quit creating a logjam at SF. And draft better, don't get anymore Romeo Langfords or Kelly Olynyks. Trade up if you have to.
